Ladakh - Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Ladakh is one of the most beautiful places to visit in India, lying in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It extends between Karakoram region in the north and Himalayas to the south. It is a cold desert having one of the most beautiful lakes in the world -Pangong Tso. Winters are very severe, cutting off the region from rest of  Jammu and Kashmir state as a result of snowfall blocking the highways. The temperature reaches upto -30 degree Celsius. Best time to visit Ladakh is from May to October.  Khardong La and Chang La are some of the highest motorable roads in the world. Nubra Valley is a beautiful valley having sand dunes and a river flowing through it.
